Himesh Reshammiya sends us another music album. Ahista Ahista's music is just mediocre, it isn't so good and nor so bad. The song 'Dil Naiyyo Maane Re' and its remix from 'Phir Hera Peri' is also added to this album for some reason. After seeing how many movies' music is directed by Himesh this year, you can speculate that he is in it just for the money. He doesn't spend much time on any movie, and he isn't choosy about the type of movies he is offered at all. Accepts whatever comes his way, so you can't actually expect to get any good quality music with that approach. Anyway, Ahista Ahista starsAbhay Deol, Soha Ali Khan and Shyaman Munshi (?). I hope you like the songs more than I did.

It has been quite a while for Sunny Deol to appear in any movie. But he's back, and back in his usual movie genre, action. In Kaafila Sana Nawaz, Sudesh Berry and Monalisaare some of the main casts with him. The music of the movie isn't applausable, but worth listening once maybe. Music is given by Sukhwinder Singh, it is his 4th direction for a hindi movie, disappointing though. The best song of the movie is Dildara, the rest simply suck!!

Other casts includes Aishwarya and whole bunch of then-newcomers; Shamita Shetty, Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj, Preeti Jhangiani, Jimmy Shergill and Kim Sharma. Mohabbatein is produced by Yash Chopra and directed by his son Aditya, who recently announced that Shahrukh Khan will not appear in any of their future movies. How sad. Music is by Jatin Lalit.

I finally got it! This one was a tough one to get, one song from here, and a couple from there. No site had the complete album. Sabse Bada Khiladi was requested by ummmm...... Anonymous in comments. Well Anonymous buddy, here it is. HOWEVER, I am not sure if I got the 'title song' that you wanted. I hope it is one of these.

Sabse Bada Khiladi stars Akshay Kumar (as I guess, hehe), Mamta Kalkarni,Mohnish Behl and, of course, the Bollywood 'bad man' Gulshan Grover. Interestingly the music of SBK is directed by Rajesh Roshan which by 1995 standards is pretty good. I didn't know he had such a long history of music directioin.

Ram Gopal Verma is back this year with a remake of his debut movie Shiva. He has casted the same actors, Mohit Ahlawat and Nisha Kothari, as his previous movieJames.

Shiva is a movie about a "young officer who has just joined the Mumbai Police" and who takes on the "odds when his principles and convictions are under threat. With a completely updated script and today's technical advances, I seek to capture that element of anger present in all of us. Most of us accept injustice mutely. But every once in a while, a rebel comes along who hits back". Those are RGV's own words about the movie.

Shiva's music is directed by Ilayaraja. It quite a typical RGV film where it isn't much focussed on the music. Songs aren't very memorable, but aren't as bad either. At least not the first time you listen to them.

Bas Ek Pal's music is directed by two new names in this field, Vivek Phillip (second album) and Amitabh Verma (debut album) along with the much experienced Pritam who have done quite a nice job. Songs aren't quite catchy and memorable though, and I personally wouldn't want to listen to them more than 2 times.

In this movie, Urmila Matondkar is cast opposite Sanjay Suri. Others include Juhi Chawla and Jimmy Shergill. Oni, the director, seems to have a good friendship going with Sanjay and Juhi, as this is their second movie tegether. First one was last year's My Brother Nikhil, which I haven't watched yet (I don't think I will, unless someone trustworthy recommends it).

This tutorial teaches you how to convert .rm files into mp3s. Read on to find out about the software required for this task, where to get it and how to use it.

Software/Tool Required:

Switch Sound File Conversion Software
Switch is a free audio coversion tool. It supports conversion of many format into one another, but what we need to know is that it CAN convert .rm to mp3. There is a Plus version that you can upgrade to for $US19.40 which will unlock some advanced features. You can read more about it at their website. For the purpose of this tutorial the free version is perfect and there is no need for an upgrade.

NOTE: The free version will have all the advanced features for 14 days from the day you install the software. After that trial period, the advanced features will be deactivated and every once in a while you will be asked to upgrade. Don't worry about that, just click 'NO' or 'Cancel' everytime you are asked to upgrade and you will be fine.

Use the link above to download Switch. Run the downloaded file by double-clicking and simply follow the on-screen instructions to install it on your hard drive.

How to use Switch:

You can use Switch to convert files one at a time, or convert multiple files at once. Here are the steps to convert one/multiple files:

First add files to the queue by clicking either the 'Add File(s)' or 'Add Folder' button (see image below). They both serve the same purpose, with the difference that the first allows you to choose the files you want and the second enables you to add all the contents of a folder to the queue.
Now that you have added your files, you need to choose the Output Folder, the folder where Switch will save the converted files. Click the button labelled as ' ... ' (see image below) and choose your desired folder.
Choose .mp3 (or any format you prefer) as the Output Format from the dropdown menu as shown in the image below.
Finally, click the 'Convert' button at the top right corner to get the job done.
When you click Convert, a little window (like the one below) will pop up, which shows you what is being done. You can cancel the process by clicking the 'Cancel' button (Dah!). The window will disappear once files are converted.

There are many other commercial softwares that can do this task, but some may not be comfortable with the price tag they come with.

I hope you find this tutorial (my first one ever) useful. If I am being ambiguous with my explanation here, feel free to comment or ask questions below. Now that the issue of file format is hopefully resolved, let's get back to downloading some cool music.

An astronaut brings home a glowing green orb for his daughter. However, the orb kills him and corners the girl for its purposes. Claiming to the embodiment of all evil, the malevolent sphere, known as the Loc-Nar, terrorizes the little girl by showing a series of bizarre and fantastic tales it has influenced. The first is "Harry Canyon," a cynical taxi driver in a squalid futuristic New York who finds himself involved with a damsel in distress who is relentlessly pursued by murderous thugs who desire the Loc-Nar her archaeologist father found. The second is "Den" which chronicles the adventures of a nerdish boy who is thrown into the fantasy world of Neverwhere, where he is transformed into a studly naked muscle-man, desired by beautiful women, who must get involved in a conflict revolving around possession of the Loc-Nar. The third is "Captain Sternn" where the title character is a handsome but irredeemable scoundrel who stands accused in a trial that Loc-Nar throws into chaos. The fourth is "B-17", where a World War II bomber plane limps home after a bombing run, only to have the Loc-Nar ram into it and revive the dead crew members as murderous zombies. The next is "So Beautiful, So Dangerous" where a buxom secretary at the Pentagon is abducted by stoned alien wastrels and a oversexed robot. The final story is "Taarna", where the Loc-Nar has to come to a future Earth and changes a peaceful people into a horde of murderous barbarians who rampage with genocidal zeal. Only the last Tarackian, a silent swords-woman known as Taarna, can avenge the victims and stop the Loc-Nar.
